OR Portal

OR Portal is an add-on portal application that ties into key features of the OR Connextions reporting and management software.

OR Portal consists of four key components, each of which is accessible by defined permissions through the OR Connexions application. With this functionality, any one user may be allowed to have access to each or all of the components.

Below is information about the four key components:

View My Schedule
This component will allow the doctors (or assistants) to login at any time convenient to them and view and/or print their upcoming schedule. Doctors are able to navigate forward to their future appointments and also backwards into their past appointments. Calendar days are colored by the amount of daily appointments, and when clicked, daily appointment summaries are listed below.

By clicking on an appointment summary, the doctor is taken to a detailed breakdown of the appointment which includes data such as patient information, operation information, staff information, and notes.

View Room Schedules
The View Room Schedules component lets doctors or staff (depending on administrative defined permissions) view operation room schedules based on day and time. The selected day may be altered by scanning forward and backward by day or using a calendar pop-up to select a day and month.

The schedule information is displayed in a block schedule defined in 30 minute blocks. Each scheduled block is colored based on the doctor color key that is located on the right side of the screen.

By clicking on a colored/scheduled block, the user is able to see a summary of the appointment. By clicking on an appointment summary, the doctor is taken to a detailed breakdown of the appointment which includes data such as patient information, operation information, staff information, and notes.

Search Schedules
Search Schedules allows users to search for a case by the case id number, or search by last name. This component also allows users to lists out appointment summaries between two specified dates and allows them to filter the appointments by doctor.

Submit Request for Appointment
This key component allows selected staff to submit time block requests for select rooms and submit preliminary operation data. A block schedule similar to the View Room Schedules component is displayed to show available time blocks.

After all required data is entered and the request submitted, the request is moved to a queue to be approved by the appropriate staff.

OR Portal is an essential add-on for the OR Connexions application enabling staff throughout the facility to view current and upcoming schedule information and optimize time management.
